Alex's New Bed, and other stuff

So we figured it was time Alex graduated to a "big girl" bed! We set it up a few weeks ago, but just decided Monday night to start putting her in it on a permanent basis. She LOVES her owl's so much! She has been doing pretty good actually. The first night it only took her about an hour to fall asleep, which by normal standards, is pretty darn good!
It was about one o'clock in the morning and Alicia wakes me up saying she is awake. I was half asleep and didn't know what was going on, until I heard our door shut and her run down the hallway! To be honest, it scared the crap out of me, not use to having someone run around the house in the middle of the night. Alex loves her bed and we have been very proud of her so far. She even takes her naps in there too and doesn't fuss too much
Earlier today, Alex told me that her baby needed a nap, so she went and turned her fan on, turned out the light and started rocking her baby, then she even started humming to her so she would fall asleep! It had to be the most adorable thing I have seen her do!

Search for new work has been frustrating. As most of you know, I was hired as a Clark County Deputy late last year, even had a start date, but about two weeks before I was to start their budget numbers came out and the County was WAY over budget, hence they couldn't hire me. However, I remain on the hiring list until December. In the meantime, I took the test for Skamania County Corrections/Communications, passed it with a number one ranking, then the oral board interviews came, passed that still in the number one position. You would think that would insure me getting the job, not so fast. One of the people in the Top Five with me has volunteered for a bit at the Sheriff's Office, so that puts me at a disadvantage, even with the high ranking. I am praying that I get the position, that way I can get out of the Casino. However, I am starting to realize it is not up to me, I have to put my Faith in Heavenly Father, and whatever happens, happens.

Alicia is doing well, working too much, but that is Alicia. Her back is killing her, but it seems that is only thing bad so far. Baby Boy is doing well, which we are all excited about and his due date is still in early August. Alex is excited for Baby Brother to be here. We will keep everyone updated as things go along.

New Pictures!

Well like I said, I was going to put up some updated pictures since it has been so long. While I was trying to put them on the computer, it erased all of Alex's 2nd Birthday pictures from the camera and they didn't show up on the computer! A little upset is an understatement, but what can you do, I will see if anyone that was there has some that they can send us.

Anyways, this one below is Alex decorating Halloween cookies! Her facial expressions are hilarious, I wasn't there when this was taken so when I saw it, I had to put it up.

Alex and I getting her pumpkin. We had to convice her to go with a smaller one, she kept trying to grab the biggest pumpkin she could find. We did get a big one, but we wanted her to get one she could carry out herself. She had a blast out there, riding on the tractor out to the patch and then we just walked back.

Zoo lights! I absolutley love this family picture. We went to the Portland Zoo for the Zoo lights. It was the first time I had done it as well. She really like the train and they had a guy dressed up as a tiger, she had to go give him a high five and knuckles, she even offered to share her bar with him. She seemed very concerned that he needed to get something to eat for dinner.

Holy Cow a Year!!

Well, it has been a year! Where does the time go!? Obviously a lot has changed since the last time I posted anything on here, for example:
  • Alex is 2
  • Baby #2 is due in August
  • Baby #2 is a BOY!!!!
  • Alicia's Gymnastics team followed up last years state championship with a 2nd place showing!
  • I am back working, not what I want to do, but in this economy anything will do.

So yeah Alex is 2. She is running around everywhere being a silly little girl. She brings so much joy to us and makes us laugh all the time with all that she does and says. It is amazing how much energy they have. Right now she is just running back and forth in the living room, saying, "Daddy, look, running....oooops fell down!" She is hilarious! She loves her sunglasses and tu-tu's! She has to wear a tu-tu almost everyday, and she loves the color PINK! She is great with her colors and shapes, numbers she is good at too, she just forgets the number 1 and 2, but she really has 3,4,5 down!

We found out we had baby #2 coming in December and we just found out 2 weeks ago that it is going to be a BOY!! I am very excited, so is Alicia, she gets to go shopping for new baby clothes! We haven't come up with a name yet, so that is gonna be fun. Baby BOY will be joining our family in August, I am curious as to how Alex is going to be. We keep talking to her about Baby Brother, she likes to give him (Alicia's stomach) knuckles.

I would've posted pictures but Alicia has the camera at work with her, so I will post some, and it won't be a year until I do!

Later Easter Pictures and More!

Well hey, at least I'm updating right? I know Easter was a bit ago as was her visit to the Dentist for the first time, however, I just remembered these where on the camera and found 'em. So here they are; Alex's first visit to the Dentist, her Easter dress (which I, TJ, picked out), and the Ceccacci-Green Garden!

As you can tell, the Dentist started out good, but then we he wanted to see her teeth, Alex wasn't having it. I was down the hall and the Dental Assistant asked me if that scream was a happy or sad one, "I was like, well she's screaming so she's not happy!" Then I saw the pictures.

She was super cute in her dress! In the last picture she is saying please, we now have her saying
thank you.
And last but not least, we have a garden planted over at Alicia's parents house. It will be fun to watch it grow and see what actually becomes of it.

Growing and Learning so Fast!

Well, once again it's been forever! Alex is now going on 14 months old! Time flies by. As you can see she enjoyed her birthday cake.

Things are going well with us. Alicia is working a ton while we are trying to get our business up off the ground and running. We are not going to give up on it, because we know the potential of the business and what it will mean to the families we help educate.

Alex is so smart. She has been making the sounds of an elephant (her favorite, or easiest, not sure), a cat and a chicken. When we saw it is either nap time or bed time, she will grab her stuffed giraffe "George" and lead us by the hand to her room and to the rocking chair for her bed time story. She loves to her Alicia sing her "Itsy Bitsy Spider." She is trying to do the hand motions for it, it is very cute. Still having some problems with sleeping, but that is probably just her age (we hope).

There is so much to report on but not sure where to start, so I am making it one of my goals to update this at least once a week that way we can keep on top of it more! Hope everyone is doingwell!

Woah...Long time, I'm lazy...

Well lets see, lots has happened since I last posted.
  • We didn't get an elk this year, the snow came too late
  • We have a new President of the USA, didn't vote for him, but will support him
  • I was laid off due to lack of work at DesignNW
  • I opened my own business, Green Drafting & Design
  • Started my own business with Primerica Financial Services
  • There was Christmas and New Years and the snow storm
  • Alicia started coaching Gymnastics again this year and judging
  • I started reffing wrestling
  • Alex started crawling and is so so close to walking now
  • Alex has four teeth, two bottom and two top, but not the middle two on top, however they are coming in now, thankfully, our lil miss vampire won't be that way for long.

Needless to say its been an eventful last few months! Now for some pictures of Alex.

Early Elk Hunt 08

Well Dad, Shay and I went out Hunting (well we called it that, it was more of a hiking and seeing how the tent goes up) trip. It was fun, wish we would've gotten up there earlier, so that we could've set it up in the daylight. Dad should've burned the stove before we got up there that way all the paint fumes wouldn't have taken 2 hours to burn off while we waited outside in the rain and cold, but it was ok, it was worth it. The tent was awesome, it kept us warm and dry, the stove got super hot and was nice to cook chili and hot cocoa on, not at the same time.

The tent is huge by the way, we were able to put in two bunkbeds in there and had room for more.

Well we didn't see anything at all, besides two bald eagles and four deer, oh and some squirrels. However, we will be going back up around Thanksgiving when the snow comes and pushes the elk down off Mt. Adams.

Since we didn't see anything, so I turned to taking pictures of the area without the snow around. Here are some of those pictures, I'll put some of the pictures from the hunt in November up after we go, hopefully it'll show some elk this time.

Shay decided to reserve our spot for November, he does realize a few feet of snow will be there, but hopefully we'll find it when we clean off the snow for the tent.
